Online education has proven a necessity during this pandemic and has made educators easier to communicate with, but this may come at the expense of something long treasured by students of all ages. With teachers’ newfound ability to educate from their homes snow days are becoming a thing of the past. As seen during the snow day in December. teachers are able to post assignments for students to do over the course of the day to serve as classwork. Eventually, teachers could also hold full meets from their houses when the weather is bad. The only thing that would be able to prevent teachers from sending work over the days is if the blizzard was bad enough to knock out your power and wifi, but given how much our entertainment relies on those things we may just prefer to do the work.
