School Is Back In Session At Huntington High School
October 5, 2021
After a year of hybrid learning and Google Meets, full-time in-person learning is back in full swing at Huntington. Students and teachers alike have been buzzing through the hallways, excited for the long-awaited “return to normalcy” following the pandemic. While certain COVID precautions, namely the continued mask requirement, are in place to ensure student safety, nearly all school activities and festivities have been reinstated for the upcoming year.
Homecoming festivities are currently underway as the Blue Devil Football Team gears up to face West Babylon on Saturday, October 9th, at 1:30 p.m. Spirit week has been an ongoing success, with students showing their pride by participating in each of the themed days. The second annual Homecoming Bonfire will be on Thursday, October 7th, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The pep rally will be held during school hours on the 8th, while Float Night will be Friday night from 6 to 11.
While positivity and vaccination rates, as well as new variants, make all plans for the year tentative and subject to change, it seems that the Blue Devil Spirit has returned to Huntington, and the future looks bright for the 2021-2022 school year.
