My partner, Shannon Kehoe, and I are working on a project titled The Effect of Natural Carbon Material and Malic Acid on Pisum Sativum Plants. We will be testing the drought tolerance enhancement of pisum sativum plants using a combination of additives rather than just one. Both additives have shown positive effects separately so we are interested in seeing what effect the combination of these additives will have. This project was designed based on Shannon’s original project from earlier years. The difference is we are doing two versions of drought conditions this year. The super drought addition will be using NaCl to increase osmotic stress. I am excited to see if the combinations of additives will have a positive effect on the pisum sativum plants and if their drought tolerance will actually be enhanced. I am also excited to work with Shannon again.
